Exactly a week ago we gathered our picnic food and headed out early to get a spot for the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower to celebrate la Fête Nationale (Bastille Day) in Paris! How lucky we were to celebrate in Paris of all places!

The fireworks began promptly at 11pm (23h00) ...
...and a hush fell over the previously rowdy crowd on the Champ de Mars.
You might think this is an overstatement, but it was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen!
none of us expected for the fireworks to actually shoot off of the eiffel tower!!
You had to see the entire show for yourself, but it was almost an hour of mind-blowing fireworks lighting up the City of Light!
One of my favorite experiences in Paris so far!
